Bahamas Christian Council Accepts Invitation From Prime Minister

Prayer Service Held on Bay Street

Nassau, The Bahamas - ZNS-TV, a Bahamian public broadcast service, hosted a prayer service on Bay Street on Sunday in response to the escalating crime in the country.

The Bahamas Christian Council, which organized the service, said in a statement that it had graciously accepted the invitation extended by Prime Minister Philip Davis for a National Day of Prayer.

During his remarks at the service, Prime Minister Davis said, "As followers of Christ, we believe in the power of prayer to bring about change and transformation in our lives and in the world around us." He added that the government was committed to working with the church and other stakeholders to address the issue of crime.
